Games in child's life

A game is an integral part of life of every child. A game for a child is like work, job and career for adults. The way children play games may tell you about future behaviour of children at work and in their future life.

Children play the whole day round, and it is their main activity. Even the most usual needs like eating take the form of a game. But day by day a child receives more complicated tasks and it develops and forgets the game. And the game plays an important role because a child spends most of its time playing. When a child goes to school it becomes less involved in the game. But it needs games to relax and forget about problems.

But a game should always be the element of human life. And a child should be taught with the help of games.

One of the most important things is to teach them not to stop playing when it understands that it looses. A game should be always carried to its conclusion. It is very difficult to find a game that will be interesting and useful for the child. A child gets bored very quickly and can't do the same thing for a long time. So his activities should be changed very often. I think, every parent noticed that sometimes a child can't decide what it wants to do. At first it wants to watch cartoons, then it starts drawing, then it wants to play, then it wants to talk, etc.

So a game should be very, very interesting especially if it is a passive game. Active games are better for children because they develop muscles of children and thanks to them children do some physical exercises. But passive games are good too, especially if they are intellectual games. Anyway a child should always be involved in a game. It should take part in it and not only watch it.

Toys play an important role in games. A bright, original toy may attract attention of the child and it will begin to play with it. And don't worry if a new toy was broken in a few minutes after it was bought. Children are exploring their surrounding and objects they see. So it is naturally that they want to see what is inside the doll, or how the toy-car moves. Simply don't buy too expensive toys. But a child should never be punished for breaking toys; after all you buy toys for a child and for yourself.

Games may also teach a person to loose with dignity. The reaction of a child may be awful. It may cry, shout, get upset or even get angry. We feel the first disappointments of our life in childhood and they usually accompany games. And when a child doesn't get what it wanted it may have different reaction. Parents should explain that victory is not the main thing in games. There are much more important things like participating in games, getting prepared for them, spending time with friends and victory is only a good addition to a game.

But a child should also be taught to win with dignity. Of course people like to win and they play to get the victory. And children are especially anxious about winning games. Parents should explain to their children that they shouldn't boast of their victory.

So as you see, games accompany people during their lives. And these games should be interesting. So, teach your children to play games with dignity.
