Paintball
Paintball is a team game with the use of pneumatic gun. Bullets are capsules with paint that break colouring the object. This game is very famous nowadays and people from all over the world play it.
Paintball may be played indoors and outdoors. There are special associations and companies that control games and sometimes even create championships in paintball.
It may take various forms such as woodsball, X-ball, scenario and speedball. This game is based on strategy, physical abilities and deftness of people. It requires a lot of equipment. Special protective clothes, gun, a large territory are very important as the whole game depends on it.
According to psychologists, paintball is an important game from psychological point of view. Thanks to this game people express their emotions such as aggressiveness, fear, excitement. This game is usually played by men and there is a psychological explanation for this fact. According to it, men are warriors by their nature and paintball is an imitation of war. And maybe there will be only paintball wars in future.
You need to have special equipments such as a mask (everybody on the paintball territory has to have a mask), a gun (a gun consists of a gun itself, gas – carbon dioxide, and bullets), walkie-talkie and many other to play paintball
Every game has its own rules that are discussed before the game. The aims of the games are different too.
Paintball is based on hunting and the idea to create paintball appeared thanks to hunting. The creators wanted to recreate the adrenaline rush that a person feels while hunting. According to rules two teams of 12 persons compete and each team must capture the flag of another team.
A paintball set is very expensive and the prise depends on the options you want to receive during the game. Equipment may cost 100$ and at the same time you may find a paintball set that will cost several thousands of dollars. But it is possible to rent all necessary equipment. It is cheaper and is good for those who don't play it regularly.
There are a lot of specially equipped locations to play paintball. There are a lot of fields that have a great number of trees, walls and stone hedges that make the game more interesting, because allow to hide. But there are also indoor fields, where the paintball is played during bad weather. Besides, there are a lot of cafes, restaurants, bathrooms, lavatories for participants that allow them to have a rest after the game.
Paintball games are based on elimination of players by marking them with the bullet that breaks and paints the player. But there are also a lot of notes to this rule, as players discuss how big the paint mark should be and other problems.
There is also a referee that watches the game and if a player is not sure whether he/she was marked, he/she asks a referee to check it. And it is called "paint check". To check the player a referee calls him/her "neutral" and in such case nobody can attack him/her.
As you see, paintball is an interesting and thrilling game.
